Background
With the IRA, new momentum has been added to the US green transition across all sectors. This is also true when it comes to energy efficiency. Industrial emissions and emissions from commercial and residential buildings account for roughly one third of the United States' carbon footprint each year, and the industrial sector is considered one of the most difficult to decarbonize. In March 2023, the US Department of Energy announced the largest investment in industrial decarbonization in US history.
The increased focus on industrial decarbonization and energy efficiency in buildings presents new opportunities for Danish businesses as American stakeholders are interested in Danish companies’ unique solutions. Several initiatives take place to showcase Danish EE solutions to the market, i.e. through the Sustainable Industry Alliance and there is a strong interest from US business delegations and study visits to visit and learn from the Danish experience and know more about Danish solutions.
During the workshop, there will be the opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss with Danish businesses already present in the USA.
